Overview i3 is seeking a Test Engineer to support a unique and complex Army engineering effort located in Huntsville, Alabama. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical and engineering support and leadership. The position involves collaborating with civilian government personnel and a diverse team of engineering professionals to ensure project goals and timelines are achieved. The candidate can expect up to 25% travel. Responsibilities Supports test planning, coordination, execution, development of detailed test plans, test reports, quick-look briefings, test readiness reviews, and resource allocation management for test events.
Supports hardware installation at customer sites as required.
Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards.
Create work instructions and routers for manufacturing activities detailing the required operations necessary for product realization.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and build issues.
Support engineering efforts in preparation for Design Reviews
Assist in the management and organization of government furnished equipment (GFE).
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable engineering area (mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing, and engineering technology, etc.) Additional/Relevant experience may substitute for degree.
6-12 years of relevant experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Ability to travel to suppliers and hardware installation sites as required.
U. S. Citizenship is required. Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
