The Systems Intelligence Program Lead Engineer is responsible for leading the development and supporting all aspects of the systems intelligence program for global business units as part of the advanced technology team serving Air Conditioning and Water Heating divisions to ensure customer centric development of new technologies and initiatives focused on control systems. Overseeing development of new tools, methods, and systems to drive innovation and collaboration across US and global business units impacting both Air and Water Heating roadmaps. The Systems Intelligence Program Lead Engineer will provide guidance and mentorship to a team of Electrical/Software Engineer(s) and build a high-functioning team which interacts with global Air and Water Heating divisions to develop early-stage conceptualizations of products and/or technologies based on customer and market feedback through leading edge technology development, concept validation, fast prototyping of electro-mechanical systems, and/or enhanced operational capabilities in residential and commercial AC/HP products, furnaces, boilers, gas/electric and Heat Pump Water Heater products. Working in collaboration, this position conducts technology advancement initiatives with a focus on creating cost-effective control strategies, instrumentation, adaptive algorithms, and concept features with the goal of creating new functionality of products. An ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial attitude, disruptor mindset, passion for technology and strong desire to create products and run programs to drive innovation in the work culture.
