Senior MechanicalEngineer Position Overview:

The Senior Mechanical Engineer isresponsible for designing mechanical-HVAC, plumbing, and fireprotection systems for a wide range of building projects. Workingunder the direction of program design leaders, this rolecollaborates closely with design, manufacturing, and constructionteams to develop smart, efficient system designs optimized foroffsite fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, detail, andsupport the installation of facility mechanical-HVAC, plumbing, andfire protection systems based on client requirements. Collaboratewith clients and project partners to understand objectives,operational criteria, and design goals. Develop integrated designswithin a multidisciplinary team, optimized for Design forManufacturing and Construction (DfMA) methods. Analyze systems foroptimal performance, including equipment sizing and selection,distribution layouts, control sequences, and energy performance.

Evaluate feasibility and cost of implementing new systems. Reviewdrawings and specifications for code compliance and qualitystandards. Assist in managing design activities to meet projectschedules. Work closely with manufacturing and construction teamsto enhance quality and process efficiency. Support constructionteams during troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning to ensureproper system operation at handover. Coordinate design team effortsthroughout all project phases.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’sdegree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering. Minimum of 10years of experience in mechanical-HVAC, plumbing, and fireprotection system design. Professional Engineering (PE) license.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical and plumbing design codes andstandards (e.g., IMC, IPC, NFPA 99, FGI, ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability towork independently and collaboratively. Reliable, organized, anddeadline-driven. Passion for innovation and interest intransforming the construction industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in healthcare facility design. Proficiency in 3Dmodeling tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and CADMEP, with familiarityin VDC workflows. Experience using mechanical system analysissoftware (e.g., Carrier HAP, Trane Trace). Demonstrated leadershipin managing junior engineers and modeling/detailing teams.
