Nesco Resource is seeking a Senior RF Mechanical Design Engineerto join our client’s team at their Naugatuck, CT location. SUMMARY

Seeking a RF Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design anddevelopment of RF and microwave connector applications. Will beresponsible for leading the design activities to develop, evaluate,maintain, and improve RF connector designs that meet customerapplication requirements. Will work collaboratively with theengineering, quality assurance and manufacturing teams to evaluatecustomer needs and optimize design options to balance performanceand cost. The scope of this role includes providing engineeringassistance, problem resolution, training, and other engineeringduties in support of various aspects of production. This rolerequires an engineering degree along with at least 5 years of RFmechanical design experience. This individual will utilize AutoCAD,Inventor, or similar 3-D design software tools to help implement,calculate, analyze, test, and evaluate designs necessary forsuccessful completion and development. Many of the mechanicalengineering activities involve “firsthand” development andinitiative to work independently. This role requires a strongdesire to learn and apply engineering principles to transitiondesigns from conception to final production.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Design Capabilities and Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree inMechanical Engineering (BSME). Product design experience includingthe use of AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 2D/3D designsoftware. Proven, seasoned Mechanical Engineer with 5 years of RFand microwave connector design experience. Demonstration ofmicrowave connector designs above 40 GHz. Demonstration of designscovering standard and innovative materials for bodies, contacts,and insulators. Demonstration of designs for standard andinnovative manufacturing and assembly processes. Appreciation andexperience in collaborating closely with electrical engineers onnew designs and trouble-shooting legacy designs. Solid grasp ofmechanical design influences on electrical performance andovercoming electrical obstacles through innovative mechanicaldesign solutions.

Quality Focus and Experience:

Thoroughunderstanding of quality principles and experience supportingproduct quality. Experience working with

ISO9001-2015.

ProcedureExperience:

Experience includes participation in writing departmentprocedures. Grounded in methodical design development procedureswith good habits for project documentation and validation. Workingknowledge of either design or process FMEA is a plus.
