Summary:

Seeking a Lead Satellite Mechanical Engineer to oversee satellite integration and launch operations, ensuring safety and compliance with mechanical requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years experience in satellite launch operations or integration and testing
Experience with launch vehicle integration and satellite mechanical systems
Proficient with mechanical CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo)
Familiarity with aerospace materials and ground support equipment
Understanding of launch site safety procedures
Ability to work in high-pressure environments
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Skills:

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities:

Serve as on-site representative for satellite integration with launch vehicles
Coordinate mechanical integration, handling, transportation, and final mate of satellites
Develop and execute mechanical procedures for launch site activities
Support spacecraft launch campaigns including troubleshooting and anomaly resolution
Ensure safe use of mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE)
Maintain documentation and report on all launch site activities
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and standards

Pay Details:

$40.00 to $60.00 per hour
