To provide assistance with MechanicalEngineering for one of our customers. The Mechanical Engineer(Mechanical Engineer IV) will lead the HVAC design team on avariety of project types, lead teams, and directly interface withthe client. Actively participates in the full project cycle, fromthe design phase through the final construction close-out.

Dutiesand Responsibilities:

Applicants shall be able to work on multipleprojects related to buildings/industrial HVAC and plumbing systemsdesign. Manage multiple HVAC design projects of various scalethrough concept, Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD) andthe Construction Documentation (CD) phases. Be the main point ofcontact for our clients and capable of representing the team atproject meetings. Lead Investment Grade Audits (IGAs) effortsOrganize in-house resources. Train and mentor junior staff. Assistwith marketing / proposal efforts and proposal presentations.

Prepares project budgets, monitors compliance with time/scheduledeadlines. Plans and obtains additional work authorizations asrequired for scope changes. Performs standard computations oranalysis. Observes construction activities. Performs basic surveywork. Prepares portions of project documents. Edits specifications.

Performs research and investigations. Designs a complete projectand prepares complete project documents. Assists upper-levelmanagement and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.

Participates with reviews of project documents for conformity andquality assurance. Serves as the technical specialist for themechanical team. Keeps informed of new developments andrequirements affecting the organization for recommending changes inprograms or applications. Assists in the development of standardsand guidelines. Reviews complete project documents for conformityand quality assurance.

Managerial Responsibilities:

Reviews andapproves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments. Preparesproposals to provide professional services or obtain funding forengineering projects or programs. Able to supervise a project teamof engineers, technicians, and consultants. Plans, schedules, orcoordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multipleprojects or is responsible for an entire program of anorganization. Reviews operational procedures to ensure compliancewith applicable policies and performance measures. Applicant isalso responsible for maintaining the Company Standards andPractices.

Qualifications:

Shall possess a minimum of a Bachelor’sdegree in Engineering from an accredited four-year College orUniversity. Minimum of 8 years of experience as a MechanicalEngineer designing for Facilities. Experience as a project manageris a requested, but not necessarily required Experience withInvestment Grade Audits (IGAs) Must possess effective communicationskills – both verbal and written. Must be proficient in the use ofRevit, AutoCAD, HAP, and Trane TRACE. Proficient in the use ofMicrosoft Windows, Excel, and Word. Mechanical Engineer shall holda Professional Engineer licenses registration in the State ofFlorida. Or able to receive one via reciprocity within 60 days ofhire. Other certifications such as

LEED AP, LEED

BDC, or othervarious AEE certifications are a plus. U.S. Citizenship or valid USWork Visa (Green Card). Active membership and involvement inprofessional practice organization.

Physical Requirements:

Normaloffice environment mobility; sitting, walking, bending, stooping,standing, lifting a maximum of 25 pounds (greater than 25 poundsrequires a two-person lift), turning, pushing. Normal officedexterity, to include; reaching, handling, grasping, to includetyping/keyboard, and phone use.
