DEPARTMENTAL OBJECTIVES
Setting up and maintaining service schedules for plumbing fixture, drains etc. Make recommendations and assist to upgrade the various piping networks throughout the facility Work along with all the plumbers in the department to recommend programs, train and upgrade their skills Assist with maintaining a good complement of spare parts required by the facility and make recommendations where needed Assess the tools and equipment on hand for the plumbers and make recommendations where needed to upgrade, service or replace Make the necessary recommendations based on jobs, planned projects and operational needs to ensure coverage Assess the piping network throughout the facility and make recommendations to replace, repair or upgrade where required to minimize emergencies as much as possible. Assist with labeling, tagging and valve identification as well as corrosion treatment and painting of pipelines to international code. Provision of cutting-edge technical services and equipment through innovation and the introduction of new technologies

MAJOR DUTIES
Planning Assists in the planning and coordination plumbing repairs, upgrades, training, Staff Schedule, Team member work orders. Execution Attends to and coordinates all Plumbing functions of the Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) department Participates in Shift Line Ups Monitors and logs all work orders and their status for plumbers Coordinates the preparation, issuance and collection of all regularly used check-sheets ensuring detailed information is passed on to the administrative staff in engineering department after being reviewed by him or her Assist with maintenance records, logs and equipment history logs (Equipment status Log Sheet) Provides necessary follow-up and communication in relation to all work requests Participates in Environment, Health and Safety meetings and other committee meetings, as assigned by Director of Engineering and provide feedback Assists the Engineering Coordinator or Administrator in issuing prepared work-orders and collating the returned sheets. Performs any other duties assigned Provides necessary follow-up and communication in relation to all work requests Updates status of work order in work order system Provides Front Desk/Housekeeping or other departments with updated status of work order via telephone Maintains work area in a tidy, organized and functional manner Performs any other duties assigned Provides administrative support to ensure efficient department operations Works closely with other Engineering staff and supports other colleagues as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
Qualification A minimum of 8-10yrs experience working in commercial plumbing environments Plumbing certification required (a plumber’s license would be an asset) Willing to work various shifts as per the operational needs Knowledge of blueprint reading and basic drawing preparation The ability to train and develop a team of plumbers in a commercial environment Hospitality industry experience will be an asset Must be a team player with management skills Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of word and excel and the ability to work with spreadsheets
