Senior MEP Mechanical Engineer Position Available In Miami-Dade, Florida

Senior MEP Mechanical Engineer Vallum Associates Miami, FL 33134 We are seeking a skilled MEP Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and coordination of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection) for commercial, residential, and institutional building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems in compliance with local and national codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, Florida Building Code) Prepare mechanical system layout drawings, specifications, and schedules using AutoCAD and/or Revit Perform HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure cohesive system design Conduct site visits and inspections to verify field conditions and system installation Support project management teams by providing technical input during bidding and construction phases Prepare mechanical design reports and construction documents Review and respond to submittals, RFIs, and change orders during construction Stay up to date with latest industry technologies, sustainability standards, and energy codes (LEED, energy modeling, etc.)
