Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to support the design and development of industrial equipment and automated machinery.
The ideal candidate is proficient in SolidWorks and has a strong foundation in mechanical design principles, including GD&T, DFM, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
A hands-on approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with machined parts, weldments, and sheet metal are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and revise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks
  • Import and adapt CAD models from other platforms (e.g., AutoDesk Inventor)
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T
  • Reverse engineer components and assemblies
  • Review and redline engineering drawings for accuracy and manufacturability
  • Design mechanical systems including linear actuators, ball screws, chain drives, and VFD/servo-driven components
  • Specify materials, surface finishes, and coatings
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs)
  • Create exploded views and clear assembly instructions
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams for DFM optimization
  • Work on industrial automation and machine design projects
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant mechanical design experience
  • Proficient in SolidWorks (preferably owns license and PC)
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM, and tolerance analysis
  • Experience with machined parts, weldments, and sheet metal
  • Familiarity with industrial automation systems and components
  • Hands-on experience in prototype development and testing
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred:
  • Owns SolidWorks license and capable workstation
