Role overviewCAST AI is seeking a skilled seniorsoftware engineer with deep expertise in databases. It’s more aboutunderstanding database underlying technology than just knowing howto use it.

Knowing the implementation details on transactions, wireprotocol, WAL, indexes and many other fundamental database featuresenables us to build a product around it. The candidate will be ableto work on a greenfield project with a high impact on theoutcome.

Requirements Strong knowledge in following databases (list is sorted byimportance): PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse Strong programming skills in Go and/or C+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshootcomplex issues in a production environment Experience operating ClickHouse Experience working with and developing performant and robustcaching would be an advantage Strong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishHereare some of the technologies we use in the stack: Mostly Golang with C++ in most critical data pathways Extending Envoy with custom network filters ClickHouse and PostgreSQL for business metrics GRPC and REST APIs GitLab CI with ArgoCD as our GitOps CD engine Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo for observability Deployment charts are written in Helm.
