The ideal candidate will oversee and manage BIM processes specific to our plumbing and mechanical operations, ensuring seamless collaboration between design, fabrication, and field installation teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and manage accurate BIM models for plumbing and mechanical systems. Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and BIM 360 Coordinate; resolve conflicts with project teams and other trades. Generate fabrication drawings, spool sheets, hanger layouts, and sleeve locations for field installation and prefabrication. Collaborate with project managers, field foremen, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate coordination. Attend and actively participate in project coordination meetings. Uphold compliance with project BIM Execution Plans and Feddon Mechanical BIM standards. Provide training and technical support to internal staff on BIM software and protocols.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of BIM coordination experience within the plumbing and mechanical construction industry. Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, and Trimble Field technologies. In-depth understanding of plumbing, piping, and HVAC system layout, design, and installation. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with prefabrication modeling and workflows. Familiarity with BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud and Procore project management software. Experience working in coordination with general contractors and multi-trade projects.
