Growing manufacturer in Sarasota is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to add to its team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of 3D CAD design experience, Solidworks preferred. Electro-mechanical product/system design, development and testing experience required. This is a fully onsite position with excellent benefits, corporate culture and work/life balance! All candidates must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and enhancement of mechanical and electro-mechanical products and systems including definition, prototyping, testing, debugging, qualification, and production release. Manage projects from conception to production, ensuring they meet customer expectations Collaborate across multiple departments to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Develop and test prototypes to ensure performance and functionality Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across multiple departments to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Review and approve engineering drawings with critical dimensions, performance specifications, and GD&T requirements. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as

FDA, CE, UL, FCC

Plan and execute test plans

Requirements:

B.S. in Engineering or similar At least 5 years of product/system engineering, design and testing Proficiency with Solidworks 3D CAD design Proficiency in Design for Test (DFT), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), DFMEA/PFMEA, FEA, GD&T, and root cause investigations. Knowledge of design control and validation processes. Familiarity with engineering documentation systems like PDM and validation processes Willingness to mentor junior engineers
