Category Mechanical Position Type Full-Time Overview Our Federal Services Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to serve as a Glovebox Subject Matter Expert (SME). Responsibilities of this role include preparing error-free engineering documents, maintaining relevant knowledge of industry codes and standards, building strong client relationships and producing high quality engineering deliverables. The Federal Services group provides engineering services for our Department of Energy (DOE) facilities. The work involves designing special material handling gloveboxes. This position can be based out of one of the following office locations: Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)
FT Worth, TX
Plano, TX
Aiken, SC
Naperville, IL (Suburb of Chicago)
Kennewick, WA Remote will be considered for Principal Engineers. On-the-Ground Impact:

Engage directly with clients at plant sites, conducting in-depth walkdowns that transform vision into reality, ensuring every system and component is optimized for success Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
Minimum 7 years of Mechanical Engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience designing Gloveboxes for handling special materials
EIT or PE license in one or more states preferred
Experience in Mechanical codes, standards, and criteria, Glovebox codes, and development of fabrication drawing for electromechanical equipment and mechanical systems
Experience with ANSYS and SolidWorks preferred or comparable software platforms
Perform peer reviews of technical work
Excellent verbal communication skills; Comfortable and effective communicator with team, clients, management, etc., choosing the right mode of communication for the situation and relaying the right message
Ability to work effectively in teams
Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at client sites
Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail
Strong coordination skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams
Problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills
Proficient in Word and Excel
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks
Position may involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time
Must be a U.S. Citizen #LI-SH7 Pay Range USD $120,000.00 – USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
