Job Description
We are working with a medical device manufacturer that is looking to add a seasoned leader in Research and Development to their team to act as a lead on upcoming enteral feeding projects. This candidate will be a technical leader to the company and recognized as an expert in the field of material science silicones and elastomers. Responsibilities Act as a subject matter expert in silicone products, providing guidance internally and externally. Lead innovation efforts through patents, publications, and successful product launches. Manage cross-functional teams to solve complex technical and business challenges. Represent Avanos in external meetings, industry events, and customer engagements.
Requirements Required:
BS with 20+ years, MS with 15+ years, or PhD with 12+ years in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Material Science with a focus on silicone. Hands-on experience in manufacturing silicone tubes or balloons.
Preferred:
Background in medical devices, especially silicone balloons. Key contributor to the launch of at least one high-quality product in a recent role.
