Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in automation systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of mechanical components, pneumatics, hydraulics, and integration of electrical devices. This role involves end-to-end responsibility from design to installation and commissioning of automated machinery. Core Responsibilities Design custom automation equipment and tooling using SolidWorks. Generate detailed drawings, 3D models, and BOMs. Select and integrate mechanical and electrical components (e.g., sensors, switches, PLCs, grippers). Analyze and validate designs for structural and functional integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients throughout project lifecycle. Support system assembly, debugging, and on-site commissioning. Ensure design compliance with OSHA, CE, and customer-specific standards. Prepare documentation and provide technical support to fabricators and electricians. Qualifications Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Solid understanding of machine design principles, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Experience with automation hardware (pick & place units, vision systems, feeders). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and lead design tasks when needed. Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
