As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer at Jered LLC, a PAR Systems Company, you’ll be the technical engine behind our project success-owning the design, execution, and coordination of marine system projects from concept through manufacture. You ll work across disciplines-mechanical, electrical, controls, and software-to develop systems that meet exacting customer and military specifications. Whether you’re reviewing complex calculations, refining designs, or leading project teams, your contributions directly support the strength and reliability of critical maritime operations. Success Criteria In this role, you won t only design components-you ll lead the full engineering lifecycle for mid-sized marine projects. You ll generate precise estimates, develop detailed CAD models, and ensure your engineering packages are technically sound, fully compliant, and ready for manufacturing. You ll support cross-functional integration with controls and electrical systems while mentoring peers and coordinating technical contributions from other engineers. Success in this role means anticipating design challenges, maintaining documentation accuracy, delivering on-time within budget, and acting as the primary technical voice both internally and with our customers. You ll drive continuous improvement by designing with repeatability and cost-efficiency in mind, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.   • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of design experience with industrial or marine systems
  • 3+ years managing engineering tasks or leading projects
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, FEA, and the MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • US person
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with military/Navy design standards and specifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • M.S. in Engineering and/or MBA
  • 10+ years in marine or industrial equipment design
  • Background in electrohydraulic or electromechanical systems
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time, primarily office-based with occasional site visits
