Design Engineer CREO & Chassis Design

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on expertise in CREO and Chassis Design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design and development of automotive chassis systems, ensuring optimal performance, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop chassis components and systems (frames, suspensions, mounting brackets, cross members, etc.) using

PTC CREO.

Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Perform tolerance stack-ups, design for manufacturability (DFM), and design for assembly (DFA).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and simulation to ensure design feasibility.
Create and manage detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.
Conduct design reviews and implement feedback from stakeholders.
Support prototype builds, validation, and root cause analysis of design issues.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Maintain design documentation and adhere to version control protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CREO (preferably CREO 4.0 or later).
Proven experience in automotive chassis design (commercial vehicles, off-road vehicles, or passenger cars).
Strong understanding of sheet metal, weldments, casting, and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5 standards) and tolerance analysis.
Knowledge of materials commonly used in chassis systems (steel, aluminum, composites).
Good understanding of FEA results and ability to incorporate feedback into designs.
Experience working in PLM environments (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).

Preferred Skills:

Exposure to simulation tools like ANSYS or HyperMesh.
Knowledge of global vehicle safety and design standards.
Experience with prototype testing and validation.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
