Conyers, GA What we’re looking for: We are looking for a team member to join our engineering team. This role will be responsible for product development through “release” stage to manufacturing by designing piping schematics for refrigeration compressor rack and pump systems. This team member will serve as a liaison between the Inside Sales and Manufacturing departments. What you’ll be responsible for in this role: Apply knowledge in thermodynamics, fluids mechanics, and engineering design experience to size and select mechanical components.
Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) to specify various refrigeration components such as compressors, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
Work in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to provide piping drawings for manufacturing use.
Ensure designs comply with codes and agency listings (UL, ETL, CSA).
Utilize experience in hydronic system design.
Work with manufacturing during production stage to provide solutions to issues during the build process.
Write sequences of operation.
Prepare preliminary and conceptual designs for customer submittal drawings.
Participate in engineering project teams and performs assigned tasks.
Work with manufacturing on process and product improvement projects. What are the basic qualifications? Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum six months to one year of CO2 refrigeration experience What are the preferred qualifications? Experience with value analysis value engineering (VAVE) a plus. To be a great fit for the role: 2D & 3D CAD expertise as well as PLM experience (Solid Works & Enovia preferred) Experience with solid modeling in production environment is desirable Hands-on experience in a fast-paced, customized manufacturing environment Previous experience reviewing mechanical designs for improvements Intermediate technical skills Good problem solving skills with a drive for results Good written and verbal skills Basic project management skills Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong customer focus FEA experience desirable
