In this role you will be responsible for growing and leading a team of Mechanical Engineers focusing on the design and delivery of

MEP/HVAC

projects for primarily the Education, Commercial and Government sectors. This will involve the production and approval of mechanical designs, the pricing/scoping/planning of projects and the selection/management of specialist subcontractors.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years’ experience in the AEC/MEP sector where they have gained demonstrable experience in both Design Engineering and Project Engineering/Project Management.

The role:

  • Acting in a client-facing role that will see them representing the business at high-level meetings and industry events
  • Growing and leading a team of Mechanical Engineers reporting into them
  • Supporting with the development of proposals e.g site assessments, calculations
  • Preparing project documentation e.g BOMs, costs, SOWs
  • Carrying out and leading the production of mechanical designs e.g HVAC systems, piping/ductwork
  • Acting as Project Engineer during key stages of delivery
  • Reporting on project progress to all stakeholders
The Person:
  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer – transfer of licensure from another state is supported
  • 10+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering in the AEC/MEP sector
  • Experience with Education/Commercial/Government projects advantageous
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit, demonstrable experience in mechanical systems design
  • Project management / project engineering experience
  • Active driving license
