ADAS Design and Release Engineer at Ford Motor Company in Augusta, Maine, United States Job Description In this position… We are seeking a highly driven engineer responsible for the Design & Release program application work for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems) domain controller(s). The candidate would lead hardware and software application and vehicle integration work of the full system that controls all ADAS features on several vehicle programs. What you’ll do… + Lead the
ADAS D&R
application work on various vehicle programs + System definition and program set-up (including Bill of Material, cost targets, work planning, etc) + Manage and execute software releases for prototype, production, service and OTA stages + Preparation of initial and final sourcing documents; managing cost and weight of all system components + Manage the ECU component and camera deliverables through program lifecycle with Full-Service supplier partners + Lead the packaging of ADAS Module on multiple Programs + Ensure Programs’ deliverables are met on time and with the highest quality.
This includes the following:
FEDEBOM, Global Integrator DRP, Packaging/Digital Buck, DPA Checks, WERS, FMA, Subsystem/Supplier work plans, DVP&R, Engineering Sign-off, etc + Comply with Robustness Engineering Disciplines (Quality History, P – Diagram, FMEA, etc) + Develop work plans and lead resolution of ADAS implementation and validation related issues + Support prototype and vehicle launches (may require travel). + Identify validation, durability and functional testing required for a given program’s change scope + Execute subsystem and vehicle development, tuning, and testing, and managing supplier design validation and verification tasks + Drive troubleshooting and development of solutions for Hardware, Software, and packaging issues found during validation and launch using problem solving best practice (Is/Is not, 3L5W, fishbones, etc) with various experts You’ll have… + BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or strongly related + 1+ year of basic CAD experience or demonstrated CAD proficiency + Experience with packaging electronic modules and components in vehicles + 3+ year of experience with Automotive Component or Subsystem Product Development tools and processes. + 1+ year of work experience with the application of engineering disciplines (engineering specifications, design validation, failure mode analysis, 8D, six sigma, etc.) Even better, you may have… + MSEE or related advanced degree preferred + 3+ year of CAD packaging experience + Experience wor
