As a Test Engineer, you will complete test plans and protocols for electrical, mechanical, and vision projects, including on-site Alpha testing through initial off-site Beta testing.

What You’ll Do:

Test Protocol Execution & Reporting Complete test plans and protocols for electrical, mechanical, and vision projects. Including on-site Alpha testing through initial off-site Beta testing
Participate in weekly project meetings to provide key design for reliability inputs to mitigate risks from first prototypes to first customer shipment and beyond.
Identify and present issues during design verification testing, and escalates new or persistent failures to appropriate engineering teams
Perform failure analysis to identify root cause and help develop process/design mitigations collaborating with mechanical, electrical and software engineering teams to rapidly implement corrective actions and resolve system issues
Clearly documents test results and observations in test reports
Additional duties as assigned. Other Responsibilities Collaborate with test technicians on test methods and procedures
Ensures successful, on-time completion of department projects; communicates constraints to direct management when project completion is at risk
Assist in assembly and overall testing of P1-P3 Prototype builds from the Manufacturing plant(s)

What You’ll Bring:

Understanding of automotive service equipment as it relates to equipment manufactured by Hunter Engineering Company
Knowledge of Phase Gate NPD or NPI process for new product development
Previous experience in test fixture design or automation is a plus
Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and present logical conclusions based on customer experiences
Ability to work independently, regularly reporting progress and status of testing
Excellent project management, written & verbal communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills
Must have Microsoft tools and computer operating systems.
Detailed oriented
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical & mechanical equipment issues.
