Tooling EngineerJob Description Design, develop, and maintain tooling solutions tailored to large-scale metal missile canister manufacturing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and design engineers, to optimize production processes. Develop and implement tooling standards, guidelines, and best practices for large-scale metal fabrication. Conduct tooling feasibility studies, assessments, and risk analyses to ensure high-quality output. Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance production efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve tool longevity. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues to maintain smooth production flow. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Responsibilities Design and develop tooling solutions for large-scale metal missile canister manufacturing. Essential Skills Expertise in welding, metal fabrication, CNC machining, and tooling design. Proficiency in CAD and FEA analysis. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 6-8 years of experience. Specialized experience in missile canister tooling and assembly. Knowledge of high-tolerance manufacturing practices and large-scale quality assurance protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) projects. Work Environment This position is onsite in Columbus, MS. The role supports a new Navy contract award and involves working with advanced tooling and manufacturing equipment in a collaborative setting.
