Equipment Maintenace Engineer Position Available In Cleveland, North Carolina

Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Equipment Maintenance Engineer for our client based out of Grover, NC. This assignment is anticipated to be a 6 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

Improve the maintenance operations to ensure the uptime and reliability of the system. Lead and support maintenance technicians in executing reactive maintenance tasks and troubleshooting complex issues. Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to prevent equipment failures and optimize system performance. Identify opportunities for component replacement and system upgrades to restore equipment to optimal condition, with a focus on conveyance systems. Coordinate and manage the work of external contractors for maintenance execution and project work. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and performance metrics. Provide regular reports to management.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues, including experience with conveyance systems. Demonstrated experience in supervising and supporting maintenance teams, providing guidance and training as needed. Experience in developing and implementing proactive maintenance programs to improve system reliability.
