Systems Engineer – Vehicle Electronics Driveline Integration and Bodybuilder Engineering Job Description The EE Architecture Systems Engineering team develops system design and architecture concepts focusing on electrical and electronics systems. We are currently looking for a passionate System Design Leader for the Vehicle Electronics Driveline Integration and Bodybuilder Engineering area with a focus on Bodybuilder functionality and driveline integration. You will join a team that develops, delivers, and maintains system concept solutions for power take-off and driveline integration for our conventional, electric, and autonomous vehicles. You will contribute to all stages of product development, from early phase pre-studies to system definition, design, architecture, and functions development. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate system development activities in complex product development projects. Identify and review design solutions, securing input and approvals from relevant internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory forums. Coordinate the development of cross-functional specifications and communicate with stakeholders and developers. Propose system design concepts, electrical schematics, and diagrams for vehicle functions related to your area of responsibility. Own and develop bodybuilder and driveline integration roadmaps. Support with diagnostics and analysis to troubleshoot and analyze vehicle networks. Utilize tools to perform complex on-vehicle measurements and analysis to collect data necessary for the development of new systems. Provide input to analyze vehicle functions and determine the best course of action for resolving actual or potential problems. Essential Skills
BSEE/BSME
required; MSEE/MSME or PhD preferred. Relevant experience in commercial vehicle or automotive research and product development, or similar industries (e.g. consumer, telecom). Detailed knowledge about Electronic Hardware/Software & Supporting Infrastructure Architecture Design & Overall Development. Knowledge of automotive or related industry communication protocols (e.g. CAN, Ethernet, LIN), standards & tools. Experience with tools related to software development, diagnostics, and production/aftermarket systems. Experience in working within global/local organizations with cross-functional interaction. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and SAFe, with a good understanding of project operations. Knowledge of Quality Management (QMS), SFMEA, Product Quality Assurance, and Quality tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in product design. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities. Interest in new technologies and continuous improvement. Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Work Environment This is a 5-day, onsite, long-term contract role based in Greensboro, NC. The initial contract is for 9 months, with a high potential for extension. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, with an emphasis on teamwork and the Agile SAFe framework.
