We have an exciting opportunity to join our Planning Development and Natural Resources team in our Charlotte office, focusing on land development and stormwater design . YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE

Provides technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects as part of a project team. Prepares design computations and assessments. Produces design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents. Reports directly to the Project Manager or Project Engineer leading the design. Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule. Engage in comprehensive communication and coordination with the Project Manager and design team regarding design issues and project-related calculations. Communicate and coordinate with Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations relating to a project. Stays current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Passed your FE Exam and obtained your EI/EIT. Experience with design of land development projects required. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software programs as required. Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills. Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from PM and coordinate efforts with design team. Strong writing and verbal skills; Able to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PMs. May or may not require a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

Experience with design of stormwater and flood mitigation projects preferred. Experience in StormWise (previously ICPR) or other stormwater modeling software is a bonus. NC residency preferred.
