Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ The purpose of this position is to facilitate the execution of externally funded projects with defined scope, hardware deliverables on fixed schedules and budgets. + Deliver complex engineering solutions by managing a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team consisting of varying degrees of technical experience. + Provide intensive project management including but not limited to efficient and effective task scheduling, technical reporting, component and equipment selection and procurement, fabrication, and clear communication with vendors for outsourcing of fabricated components where required. Minimum Experience /

Education:

Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering; or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering and two years of experience; or a combination of educational and experience.

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

MS Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering. Demonstrated project experience with engineering research projects is essential. Demonstrated experience in engineering design and documentation practices through at least the completion of successful graduate research projects. Knowledgeable of electrical systems design principles as related to electro-mechanical systems. Course and project experience sufficient to contribute and lead power-electronics hardware design and fabrication. Skilled in technical writing to document and communicate engineering design at a detailed level for independent replication of system prototype designs. Task and deadline oriented, self-starter/driven. Familiarity with large research and development projects executed within the culture and infrastructure of a university research center is preferred. Committed to laboratory safety protocols.
