Senior Mechanical Engineer Fast growing Architecture company isseeking a Senior Engineer. As a Senior Healthcare MechanicalEngineer, you will take a leadership role in building theHealthcare practice together with leadership; designing anddeveloping mechanical systems holistically and conceptually;generating and translating mechanical systems into final solutionsfor various healthcare and research building types as part of adynamic multi-disciplinary project team. You will have theopportunity to influence a projects direction and outcomes bytaking a proactive role in the design and development ofdocumentation and supervising a projects implementation in thefield. Deliver Results Provide extensive expertise in the technicalaspects of the mechanical design including code compliance,specifications, system integration and constructability Work crossfunctionally to create project scope and budget, provide qualityassurance, conduct work sessions and meetings, troubleshoot issues,prepare project documentations, and to coordinate other technicalproject components. Attend site-visits to resolve issuesencountered in the field such as unforeseen conditions, codeissues, and interpretation of construction documents. Coordinatethe work of the mechanical design team through the schematic designdevelopment and construction document phase of a project. Reviewcompleted reports, submittals, drawings, estimates and calculationsfor accuracy. Prepare building models, detailed contract documents,construction documents, photometric simulations, arc flash andspecifications consistent with Progressive AE’s standards.
Determine and promote the best use of design software andtechnology to accomplish these tasks most efficiently. Ensure theoverall design intent of the project established by the PerformanceBased Design process is incorporated into the detaileddocumentation. This is a Direct hire position with a salary rangeof $130,000 – $170,000 based on years of experience of withexcellent benefits, profit sharing and bonus located in CharlotteNC Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from anEAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent in education andexperience required for professional licensure. LicensedProfessional Engineer (PE) with current license OR ability toobtain

years of relevant experience with a wide varietyof project types. Must have experience in the healthcare industryand good HVAC systems experience Strong knowledge of Revit and/orAutoCAD. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications Multiple state licensures.
CSI-CDT certification. LEED AP BDC and WELL AP certification.
Membership at organizations such as American Society for HealthCare Engineering (ASHE), Healthcare Engineering Alliance Society(HEALS), or similar and their local chapters. NCEES registrationand NSPE membership. Track of reporting and/or presenting atprofessional organizations conferences, publishing white-papers anddemonstrating internal and external thought leadership
