Job Title:
Test Engineer Job Description Design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products. Plan the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Responsibilities Perform moderately complex tasks related to the testing of raw materials, manufactured products, or manufacturing processes. Develop test plans and conduct testing activities on complex systems and subsystems to meet program requirements. Provide assistance in the areas of predictability, manufacturing processing, equipment, and process improvement. Develop proposal inputs and present them to department and program personnel. Generate reports and review documents generated by junior engineers. Essential Skills Proficiency in LabVIEW software. Experience in test engineering and test development. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing test support function. Additional Skills & Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical). Work Environment This role is based out of Gastonia, NC, working in temporary laboratory pods. The work environment is focused on R D for commercial and defense customers, with the project supported being within the commercial aerospace industry. The current team consists of 4 other Test Engineers, and the position offers a hybrid work model.
