The Mechanical Engineer will:

Conduct engineering calculations and create detailed mechanical engineering drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection system focusing on the firm’s key project sectors. Operate under the guidance of a Project Manager and senior technical oversight.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the development of project objectives, goals, and documentation policies. Preparing engineering design loads and calculations, mechanical system layouts (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection), and design documentation for all project phases. Coordinating design efforts between engineering disciplines and the architecture team, performing engineering calculations, and overseeing the production of drawings. Conducting energy analysis and implementing high-performance design techniques. Compiling detailed engineering reports and narratives. Performing on-site condition surveys. Reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs, and providing field observations throughout the construction administration process.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design of HVAC and plumbing systems for complex projects. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software. Experience in energy modeling and developing related reports/presentations. Familiarity with energy modeling software PE Licensed preferred, EIT required LEED Accredited Professional Experience and interest in sustainable and high-performance building design
