How you will make an impact:
Join Crane Currency as an Equipment Engineering Manager and lead a cross-functional team in developing cutting-edge manufacturing equipment. You’ll manage equipment launches, collaborate with R D, process engineering, and operations, and oversee capital equipment budgets. Your role includes performing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), creating action plans, managing technical issues, converting prototypes into operational equipment, and presenting project statuses to senior leadership. Participate in Kaizen events and foster continuous improvement.
Manage and/or lead cross-functional teams in equipment launches or modifications including R D, process engineering, & operations.
Develop and maintain capital equipment budget ensuring monitoring of expenses, submission of capital expense requests and tracking accordingly.
Develop and document user requirements to define equipment requirements.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure user requirements are met one time, on budget and performing as planned.
Execute FAT (Factory acceptance testing) and SAT (Site acceptance testing).
Develop and implement action plans for cross-functional development teams to execute regarding qualification launches of

IQ/OQ/PQ

for new or modified equipment.
Meet capability, quality, cost, and time-line goals using phase-gated development framework in launch of modification of new equipment.
Identify and manage technical issues and project risks both internally and with vendors
Collaborate with R D to convert prototype equipment and technologies into capable operational equipment.
Conduct project presentations,municating status to cross-functional Sr. Leadership through project reviews and status reports including project expenses, capital budgets and tracked progress.
Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities.
Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering ormensurate experience.
10 years minimum experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment.
5 years minimum in a leadership/project management role with strong leadership and team-building skills.
Innovative in machine or equipment design.
Portfolio Management of large technology programs.
Process orientation; develop repeatable processes or improve processes in/out of product development.
Influence and lead others without formal authority while maintaining effective work relationships.

Preferred:

Manage projects; scheduling/budgeting, PMP/equivalent preferred
Six sigma green/black belt a plus
