Role Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take on advanced design projects and lead mechanical efforts through all phases – from concept and detailed design to troubleshooting and final installation. You’ll mentor junior engineers, interface with clients, and play a key role in solving complex mechanical challenges that ensure equipment reliability and performance. This role is perfect for a driven engineer looking to deepen technical expertise while taking on more leadership and project ownership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead design and development of mechanical systems for custom industrial machinery using CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred). Oversee troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning phases on-site, working closely with installation teams. Mentor and guide mid-level engineers and support cross-functional project teams. Conduct detailed analysis including stress/strain, tolerance stack-up, and failure mode evaluations. Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to optimize system integration and functionality. Engage directly with clients to clarify specifications and provide engineering support during installation and startup.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5-12 years of mechanical engineering experience in machinery manufacturing, automation, or heavy industrial equipment. Proven experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and related CAE tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
