However, as a global company,MAHLE offers many job opportunities outside of the U.S. which canbe found through our employment website www.jobs.mahle.com YourContribution As a Mechanical Process Engineer reporting to the Headof Light Vehicle Diesel, you will be responsible to develops andtest machinery and equipment under direction of engineering andscientific staff by performing the following duties.
This role isresponsible to:
Develop and write task analysis, cost analysis andproposals for implementation of new processes or improvements toexisting processes. Selects or designs parts and tooling to meetcustomer specifications and expectations. Works closely with linepersonnel to ensure newly developed parts and tooling are correctlyinstalled and functioning properly. Confers with establishedpersonnel to implement standard operating procedures (SOP’s) andresolve system malfunctions. Develops, plans and models alternateprocessing methods to test feasibility of new applications ofsystem components, and recommends implementation of improvedprocedures, process improvements and/or set-up reductiontechniques. Confers with workers in other departments such asmarketing, training and development, and engineering, to providetechnical information. Develops and conducts related equipmenttraining programs and demonstrates skills to trainees (serves as amentor or coach to established personnel. Prepares charts, graphs,and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts,material handling, and machine utilization. Performs equipment andfacilities layouts. Participates in meetings, seminars, andtraining sessions as needed to stay apprised of new developments infield. Completes engineering drawing(s) for part fabrication byinternal or external vendors. Records test procedures and results,numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes inproduct or test method. Monitors the function, cycle time and otherpertinent parameters of production equipment. Provides technicalsupport for other departments (Design) regarding production issues.
Develops/Optimizes process flow to increase efficiency ofoperation. Prepares reports concerning departmental activities asrequired. Your Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree inmechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering from anaccredited four-year college or university 2 years relatedexperience with the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities CNCProgramming, Machine Tool Programming, Drafting (AutoCAD required,Inventor preferred) 6-axis industrial robotic experience, steelmachining experience Cognex Vision programming preferred Strongproblem solving and critical thinking skills Very Goodcommunication skills, written and verbal, along with goodpresentation skills Team player, committed to doing what isnecessary to generate Team success Our Offering We will provide acollaborative environment working on exciting assignments, alongwith ongoing personal & career development opportunities.
