Test Engineer Position Available In Ocean, New Jersey

NDI Engineering is looking for a full time mechanical engineer to provide technical support to the government for Testing and Evaluation of aircraft launch and recovery (ALRE) systems such as Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS).Duties +

Responsibilities:

The Candidate will:

Develop, coordinate and execute test programs as a Test EngineerPerform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on Test Division ALRE systems such as the Electromagnetic Catapult.

Develop, review, and maintain test plans, procedures, test data, test briefs, quotes and test reports.

Responsible for operating and troubleshooting ALRE Facility issues during test operations.

Analyze test results, identify discrepancies or malfunctions, and work with relevant teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Participate in program and systems engineering technical reviews for EMALS.Provide recommendations for improvements or modifications based on testing results and operational feedback.

Act as the Test Engineer aboard CVN 78 re-certification & CVN 79 commissioning efforts

Qualifications:

Engineering or Science degree, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering3-5 years’ experience in the engineering field with 3+ year experience with ALRE or similar systems.

Experience with using CAD toolsExperience with test and evaluation processesIn-depth knowledge of system integration, troubleshooting, and test methodology for complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical findings and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
