- PTO is based on candidate, most likely willmatch or exceed your current PTO structure Hybrid schedule Flexibletime in and time out Job Details As a key member of the technicalproduction team, the Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible forthe analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems.
Thisrole involves developing drawings, specifications, reports, costestimates, and related deliverables. Typical systems include HVAC,plumbing, control systems, medical gas infrastructure, processpiping, and fire protection. Additionally, the Senior MechanicalEngineer oversees project management when assigned and contributesto firm-wide client relationship management efforts. EssentialFunctions Contribute to project planning by actively participatingin scope definition and fee development, including attendance atpre-proposal meetings. Develop mechanical design solutions informedby a strong understanding of industry standards andconstructability best practices. Apply in-depth knowledge ofapplicable codes and standards to ensure compliance and quality inall design work. Utilize industry-standard software such as TraneTRACE, Carrier HAP, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and otherrelevant tools. Perform field investigations, energy audits, lifecycle cost analyses, energy modeling, and cost estimation. Provideconstruction-phase support, including reviewing submittals,responding to RFIs, and managing design modifications. Lead,mentor, and support the development of junior staff. CompetenciesDemonstrates the ability to work effectively both independently andas part of a collaborative team. Communicates, coordinates, andcollaborates proactively and professionally with clients,colleagues, and project stakeholders. Manages multiple assignmentsand priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Maintainsadherence to project budgets and schedules throughout the designand construction phases. Committed to delivering high-qualitytechnical solutions, exceptional client service, and upholding thehighest ethical standards. Education and Experience RequiredBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, ArchitecturalEngineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) licensewith a minimum of 10 years of experience in the design ofbuilding-related mechanical systems. Preferred LEED AccreditedProfessional (LEED AP) or equivalent sustainability certification.
