As a Lead Project Engineer you will lead development of AP1000 projects from initiation to completion. You will manage project design and coordination ensuring excellence, compliance, and delivery. The Lead Project Engineer will work with the Project Manager, Engineering Manager and business and technical teams, providing technical leadership and expertise to support project success.
You will report to the Manager of Engineering for Poland AP1000 Project Engineering. This position is hybrid from the US based in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation provided. We can entertain candidates able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities:
Lead planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring aligning w/ goals and industry standards.
Project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for cost-effective on time completionCollaborate with our teams, clients, and vendors to define requirements and resolve technical challengesEnsure compliance w/ industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout all project phasesIdentify project risks and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on trackProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teamConduct feasibility studies, scope development reviews, and performance evaluations for project optimizationContinuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and project outcomes
Qualifications:
10+ years of experienceInternational travel to support the Poland projectBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related)8 years project engineering/management or equivalent roles of increased responsibilities, with experience leading successful projects or large scopeEngineering principles, project management methodologies, and regulatory standardsProject management and engineering software like Primavera and Microsoft ProjectLeadership and teamwork abilities, with experience collaborating across departmentsInterested in obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certificationGeneral knowledge of Westinghouse nuclear products like AP100, AP300, eVinci#LI-HybridWestinghouse is an Equal Opportunity Employer — Minority / Female / Disability / VetAs an equal opportunity employer, Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC is committed to a diverse workforce.
