About the role:

As a you will participate in introductory training focused on standard analyses and obtain qualifications in the Reactor Core Thermal-Hydraulic Design functional area.

You will report to the Manager – Fuel Performance and Thermal Hydraulic Design.

This is a hybrid role, located in

Cranberry, PAKey Responsibilities:

Perform standard analysis work for US and international customers, following approved methodologies, procedures and internal processes on nuclear safety and quality to produce error-free work. Analyses will support safe plant operation by determining design bases and limits that meet safety and regulatory criteria for plant, reactor core and fuel design, quantifying thermal margins and identifying and evaluating risks to plant safety and fuel performance.

Develop skills necessary to assume more independent assignments and verify standard evaluations and analyses performed by othersSupport emergent issues and interface with our customers and other teams within Westinghouse to support safe plant operationPlan and schedule own work to meet assignment requirement within schedule and budget requirementsParticipate on project teams and communicate with responsible project managers the nature and status of work projectsIdentify and recommend improvements in process and tools on a continuing basis and support implementation

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Nuclear or Mechanical) or related Discipline preferred or recognized equivalent requiredMinimum 3.0 GPAMinimum 0-3 years of engineering experience requiredEngineer in Training (EIT) Certification helpful#LI-HybridWhy Westinghouse?
