Ameridrives International LLC seeks a Design Engineer Senior reporting to headquarters in Erie, Pennsylvania to conduct mechanical engineering analysis. Plan and design custom mechanical products and provide engineering proposal support. Use computer assisted design, drafting equipment, and software to develop engineering designs for mechanical products. Create sales drawings and coding of sales orders. Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors, such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts. Sketch layouts and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and locations of holes for engineering products. Utilize AutoDesk, including Inventor, AutoCAD, and FEA for mechanical engineering product design. Direct integration of technical activities and products. Provide engineering support and field engineering support for technical engineering products. Provide production support to machining and assembly areas. Plan and formulate engineering program procedures and coordinate project staff according to project requirements. Review product design for compliance to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contact requirements. Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design, and test problems. Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. May travel to various and unanticipated work locations throughout the United States up to 10% of time.
Annual salary:
$98,000 – 218,600/year.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field plus two years of mechanical engineering experience. Must have at least two years of experience in each of the following: 1. Planning and designing custom mechanical products and providing engineering proposal support; 2. Creating sales drawings and coding of sales orders; 3. Analyzing engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors, such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts; 4. Sketching layouts and computing angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and locations of holes for engineering products; 5. Utilizing AutoDesk, including Inventor, AutoCAD, and FEA for mechanical engineering product design; and 6. Providing production support to machining and assembly areas.
