Position Title:
Corporate Project Engineer (Mechanical or Related Engineering Discipline)
Overview:

This role is designed for an experienced engineer ready to take on technical responsibilities that support safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations through capital project execution and maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the planning and execution of capital improvement projects from concept to completion Define project scopes, create detailed schedules, and develop cost estimates Assist in preparing capital funding (AFE) proposals Oversee phases of project construction, equipment commissioning, and final handover Collaborate with supervisors, operators, maintenance teams, and procurement staff Contribute to equipment design and optimization efforts to improve reliability and efficiency Source and evaluate contractors, suppliers, and external consultants Perform technical reviews of project documentation, plans, and installations Lead and participate in project status meetings with internal and external stakeholders Ensure contractor work meets safety and quality standards Serve as a technical liaison for consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies Visit manufacturing sites across the U.S. to offer hands-on engineering support, diagnostics, and best-practice sharing Analyze plant operations and equipment performance to identify improvements Present updates and technical findings through written reports and formal presentations Provide support during plant shutdowns and participate in safety and compliance initiatives Ensure adherence to applicable codes and regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, etc.) Contribute to the ongoing development of internal safety guidelines and project procedures Take on special assignments as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar field) from an accredited university 3-5 years of experience managing construction projects within heavy industrial environments (steel, metal, wood, automotive, etc.) Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal Ability to interpret Civil, Structural, and Mechanical blueprints Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills with proven project planning experience High proficiency in software tools including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Power BI Capable of working both independently and collaboratively Motivated self-starter with a continuous learning mindset Comfortable communicating across all levels of the organization Commitment to safety, inclusion, and the company’s values of integrity, respect, hard work, humility, and efficiency
Preferred Experience:
Five or more years in an industrial or manufacturing engineering setting
