As a Senior Mechanical Engineer within our Advanced Facilities team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing advanced manufacturing facilities. You’ll impact the world around you by solving real-life challenges in the chemical, heavy industrial, and pulp and paper industries while helping clients capitalize on emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities Research, develop, design, and select required equipment, power controls, piping, structures, and earthwork for commercial and industrial purposes
Lead mechanical engineering aspects of complex facility design projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and scientists to develop innovative solutions
Perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions
Create and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Interface with clients to understand requirements and present engineering solutions
Conduct site assessments and field investigations as needed
Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning

Here’s what you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 15+ years of progressive work experience in a Mechanical Engineering role
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Demonstrated expertise in HVAC, piping, equipment specification, and utility systems
Proficiency with engineering design software and tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME, ASHRAE, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
Strong project management capabilities including outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Ideally, you’ll also have: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience with clean room design and/or advanced manufacturing environments preferred
