Test Engineering Technician Position Available In Hamblen, Tennessee

PMeducation:

High SchoolResponsibilities1. Have an understanding of all tests, equipment, and schedules in the Test Department. 2. Take lead on new product development tests (vehicle, transmission, or component). 3. Perform advanced noise, vibration and harshness tests (vehicle and transmission). 4. Responsible for inventory control and calibration of all test instruments (torque wrench, gauges, etc.). 5. Perform oil component testing (4-ball wear and weld, shear stability and advanced oil component testing and subsequent engineering calculation (coefficient of friction). 6. Perform engineering calculations for accelerated efficiency test parameters determination. 7. Perform advanced material tests (strain and fatigue properties). 8. Perform basic data analysis using test data software (InField, Glyphworks, etc.) 9. Discuss all aspects of test information with Engineers, Management, and/or Customer. 10.Record test results; complete detailed inspections and reports, including all relevant test information, procedures, results, and pictures. 11.Create unique test methods for “special” test requests. 12.Select proper instrumentation to meet test objectives; specify possible new equipment instrumentation to achieve test goals. 13.Investigative testing of R&D prototypes, quality issues, and production models and components. 14.Develop components, jigs, or fixtures as needed for testing purposes. 15.Travel required for training, customer visits, and field data acquisition. 16.Maintain safe work environment.
