Job Description Job Summary:

Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc. (TBE) in Knoxville, TN is seeking a mid-senior mechanical engineer experienced in developing mechanical and controls systems. The TBE Knoxville facility specializes in developing the next-generation-system for use in nuclear explosion monitoring networks, such as the International Monitoring System (IMS) of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Creating fabrication and assembly drawings

IAW ASME Y14

standards
Tolerancing and design for manufacturability
Interpreting electrical schematics for troubleshooting and design purposes
Developing proposals, test reports, customer presentations, design specifications, etc.
Interface with technicians to ensure specifications are attainable and verify compliance
Interface with customers in technical working groups
Estimate labor hours, track actuals, and coordinate scheduling with other project managers
Troubleshooting complex systems from sensor data and log files
Creating bills of materials for new designs and tracking materials during fabrication
Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may include providing technical leadership to lower-level Engineers.

Previous professional experience with the following types of systems is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: High purity compressed air
Cryogenic cooling
High vacuum
Nuclear detectors
Industrial controls Other Qualifications US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
Ability to travel (domestically/internationally) approximately +/-10___%.
