Senior Mechanical Design Engineer ($5K Sign-on Bonus) – Georgetown, TX Position Available In Shelby, Tennessee

SUMMARY

• Develops and coordinates the design and production of electroniccomponents from inception to completion by performing the followingduties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts studies on customer proposals for connectorsystems. Develops connector systems based on customer input, productionspecifications, test data and standard engineering practices. Details drawings and coordinates building of prototype productand testing. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software. Responsible for ensuring the final design meets functional andperformance specifications. Responsible for ensuring that designs and projects are completeon time and at a reasonable cost. Develops manufacturing process to produce newly designedparts. Designs and details tools for making components or forassembly. Resolves problems related to assigned projects by working withvendor, customers, shop personnel and others asnecessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Requires knowledgetypically acquired through, Completion of a Bachelor’s degree from a four year college oruniversity, vocational or technical school, Three to seven years related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general businessperiodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, orgovernmental regulations.

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, andprocedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond toquestions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probabilityand statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solidgeometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, anddraw valid conclusions.

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technicalinstructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with severalabstract and concrete variables.
