ANSYS HFSS

product team is focused ondeveloping graphical user interfaces and simulation pipelines thatdrive our industry-leading electrical simulation products. We areseeking a software engineer with a passion for user interface andproduct development. The successful candidate will perform design,development and maintenance of various desktop applications in ahighly collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. In thisrole, the Senior R D Engineer will use advanced technical andproblem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues,satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish developmentobjectives. This includes the transformation and componentizationof existing software, and integration of cross-productfunctionalities, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in planning,architecture, and research
• Performs complex developmentactivities that may require extensive analysis in areas includinguser experience, software design, and algorithm research.
• Employsbest practices and helps to maintain them through technical reviewsand mentoring.
• Performs complex bug verification, release testingand beta support for assigned products. Researches problemsdiscovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.
• Researches and understands the marketing requirements for aproduct, including target environment, performance criteria andcompetitive issues. May work with strategic customers or proxies toassess needs and develop solutions.
• Works independently withminimal supervision and may take on some planning and mentoringresponsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in ElectricalEngineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field with 5years’ experience, MS with 3 years’ experience.
• Significantsoftware development experience using C++ or related language.
• Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-orienteddesign.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Passion for crafting robust andefficient code
• Experience delivering high-quality products in alarge-scale commercial software development environment
• Familiarity with the entire development process, includingspecification, documentation, quality assurance, and use ofsoftware engineering tools.
• Understanding of customerrequirements and tools used in electronics simulation domain
• Familiarity with numerical method, geometric algorithm and finiteelement concept
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
