Job Description
Responsibilities
This position requires operating in responsible charge f geotechnical engineering across a variety of projects, involvingplex site investigations, analysis, and design to deliver specific engineering solutions. The role includes collabating with project teams and ensuring adnce to geotechnical specifications.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Conduct site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions.
Perfm geotechnical analysis and calculations.
Evaluate and design permanent and tempary foundations, retaining structures, and slope stabilization systems.
Evaluate ground bearing capacity and design pads and ground improvements to suppt cranes and other construction loads.
Collabate with project teams to integrate geotechnical considerations.
Monit construction activities to ensure adnce to geotechnical specifications.
Prepare clear and concise repts and rmendations.
Track budgets and project financials f accuracy; invoice clients appropriately.
Maintain positive business relationships with clients, government officials, contracts, etc.
Participate in professional meetings and/ business development functions as needed.
Prepare and seal appropriate analysis, calculations, details, plans, drawings, specifications, and repts as required to fulfill the responsibilities and duties above.
Perfm quality control reviews of the plans, calculations, and other documentation prepared by other engineers employed by Brasfield & Grie by external consultant engineers.

Education, Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Bachel’s degree in Engineering required.
10 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
Ability to wk with varying geologies, primarily in the southeast and Texas.
Professional Engineer (PE) License and ability to be licensed in states in southeast and Texas
Solid engineering judgment and reasoning.
Excellent interpersonal, al, and writtenmunication skills.
Ability to wk collabatively with multiple internal teams while priitizing to meetpeting needs.
Innovative, entrepreneurial, and strategic attitude.
Proficient in relevant software such as AutoCAD and geotechnical design tools.
Willingness to travel as required.
