Job Title:

Mining Engineer IV Reports to: Position Over Openings for currently enrolled in Mining or related BS engineering program with a PE to take on the role of Project Management and to assist all project teams in providing basic mining knowledge when required; having previous environmental or geology experience is a plus. The candidate will be a detail-oriented, organized, and safety-minded individual. The selected candidate for this position will be based in Saint Louis, MO, Tucson, AZ, or Atlanta, GA. Duties and requirements of the position include managing projects in the mineral industrial fields but also assisting with developing and reing mine plans and mineral processes for other projects. We are looking for a take charge, get it done person who can calmly navigate around difficult hurdles to meet deadlines and budgets.

Other duties include:

Able to work up rough quantities for site plans for the purpose of doing preliminary capital cost budgets
Work with team members on the permitting and design, re and modification of reclamation plans.
Work in aggregate resource development, reserve and reclamation analysis, including end of life planning.
Utilize information from permits, site conditions, and geologic investigations to develop pit quarries and long- range mine plans.
Assess permit compliance based on field observations and survey data and develop plans to ensure compliance during resource development.
Understands geologic resource reports and estimate mining reserves.
Experience with mine, planning software or modeling and competence with the Office suite of computer applications.
Travel to regional facilities.
Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, ability to achieve desired results without constant supervision.
Excellent computer skills (Power Point, Word, Excel). Capable of utilizing the internet effectively for research and evaluation.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with management.
