Geotechnical Engineer Position Available In New York, New York

Hiring Geotechnical Engineers!!! As a key player on our team, you will be at the heart of planning and executing field investigations, overseeing foundation and earthwork construction, and identifying innovative solutions for both field and lab work. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing detailed logs and reports, ensuring the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee geotechnical investigations and construction projects, and periodically perform inspections of geotechnical construction where needed
• Design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems
• Geotechnical report writing
• Prepare standard logs and field forms, including drilling and test pit logs, field investigation, rock classification, etc.
• Geotechnical Engineer in the field at least 70
• 80% of the time
• Performing geotechnical support and inspections to commercial and residential projects throughout NYC
• Field work including soil sampling, coring, and soil boring
• Familiarity with AutoCAD to design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems
• Geotechnical report writing including SOE, retaining walls, load test details, field forms/ standard logs, soil/ rock classifications, drilling logs, and calculations

Qualifications:

• EIT Preferred OR PE preferred but not required
• Master’s Degree preferred but not required

• OSHA SST, OSHA 40

  Hazwoper, OSHA 30 will be required to start but will be provided if needed
