For more information, please visit our website:florencecopper.com/About the Opportunity Florence Copper is looking for a full-time Environmental Engineerbased in Florence, Arizona. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative in-situ copperrecovery project, reporting to the Environmental Manager. You willplay a key role in overseeing environmental compliance programs,with a strong focus on groundwater quality, permitting, dataanalysis, and regulatory engagement. You’ll also support andsupervise a small team of technicians and work closely withinternal and external stakeholders, including regulators andcontractors. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are notlimited to: Overseeing groundwater monitoring programs, data management, andregulatory reporting Managing environmental permits and compliance for groundwater, air,and stormwater Coordinating with federal and state agencies to ensure regulatorycompliance Evaluating and interpreting environmental data to inform businessdecisions Supporting environmental system troubleshooting and recommendingcorrective actions Conducting environmental audits, site inspections, and duediligence activities Preparing technical reports, risk assessments, and compliancedocumentation Training staff on environmental regulations and best practices About You To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in EnvironmentalEngineering or a related discipline and a valid driver’s license. Aminimum of 7 years of environmental compliance and professionalexperience will also be essential. Additionally, the following skills and backgrounds will beassets: In-depth knowledge of groundwater regulations and hydrogeology Experience with UIC permitting and regulatory frameworks Familiarity with TSCA, NEPA, EPCRA, CWA, CAA, CERCLA, RCRA, and/orSDWA Proficiency in groundwater data analysis, chemistry, andenvironmental modeling Experience managing environmental fieldwork Understanding of Arizona-specific environmental regulations As our ideal candidate, you are a strong communicator who thrivesin collaborative environments and can work effectively across teamsand with external stakeholders.
