Technician Job Description Provide technical and administrative support to the NDE engineering team to facilitate the processing and delivery of inspection tools, analyze NDE data, and track inspector assignments and progress. Coordinate inspection assignments and track the progress of inspector results. Request quotes from vendors, monitor progress to schedule requirements, and verify requirements are met upon delivery. Responsibilities Perform technical and inventory activities under the direction of NDE Engineers to support commercial and military engines. Prepare parts for FPI, clean parts post-inspection, package parts, and prepare inspection documentation. Coordinate inspection assignments and track progress of inspector results. Request quotes from vendors, monitor progress to schedule requirements, and verify requirements met upon delivery. Essential Skills Associate Degree or 1+ year as Technician in a Manufacturing Setting Lab Experience from school or internship Scientific Theory Experience from school or internships Proficient in Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with training and auditing NDT systems Background in establishing NDT and general quality systems and NDT methods Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations Ability to work independently Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, internal and external customers Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools Experience with SAP and Microsoft suite Database management Troubleshooting skills Machinist apprenticeship CNC machining Experience in an R D lab, inspection of parts, and test requirements FPI – fluorescent penetrant inspection Eddy current testing Ultrasonic testing Work Environment This role is based onsite at the East Hartford campus, within a dynamic group that frequently changes priorities. The group is integral to fixing flight safety problems and driving cutting-edge advances in the Aerospace industry. The job offers 5 days PTO per year and 6 paid holidays, along with the opportunity for overtime pay at 1.5x the regular rate for hours worked over 40 per week.
