Part 145 Repair Station. ATI supports a wide range of rotary and fixed wing components found on both commercial and military platforms around the world. ATI is seeking a Level II NDT Inspector for an immediate full time direct hire opportunity in Hollywood, FL.

ROLE:

Level II NDT Inspector will conduct a variety of Non-Destructive Tests, including liquid penetrant and radiography.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following : Interpreting and completing the process controls required for penetrant inspection, (e.g. proper lighting, temperatures, system performance evaluations, etc.) Processing parts through the complete penetrant inspection cycle. Interpretation of process procedures, specifications and evaluation techniques specific to liquid penetrant inspection. Documentation of liquid penetrant inspection results. Develop inspection techniques as derived from processing procedures, codes, specifications, etc. Completing and interpreting the process controls required for radiographic inspection, e.g. x-ray tube warm up procedures, densitometer calibration, file step wedge preparation and review, film holder and intensity screen inspection and maintenance, film storage, viewer intensity checks, film processing solution checks and maintenance, etc. Set up and operation of radiation generating devices, (e.g. x-ray machines and processing parts through the complete radiographic inspection cycle. Interpretation of process procedures, specifications and evaluation techniques specific to radiographic inspection. Interpreting radiographic film and documenting the inspection results. Develop inspection techniques ads derived from processing procedures, codes, specification, etc. Ensure that all required maintenance actions are performed in accordance with FAA approved data and applicable manufacturer’s maintenance manual. Document all actions correctly and completely for the appropriate maintenance forms Maintain test areas in a clean orderly condition, at all times and ensure tolls and equipment are properly calibrated as required. Perform other duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited school.

EXPERIENCE

At least two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Level I and II NDT certification in Liquid Penetrant and Radiography

ASNT IRRSP

Radiation Safety Certification ASNT Liquid Penetrant Certification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILIITIES
Language/Communication Skills:
English:

ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, reports and correspondence. Excellent ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Computer Skills:

Proficient working knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to use basic mathematics.

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction.

Interpersonal Skills:

Must work well and communicate with others. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with the scope and limitations of the liquid penetrant method(s); Familiarity with the scope and limitations of the radiographic inspection method(s)
