We are seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a full-time position in the Plaquemine, LA area. The CWI inspects, accepts and/or rejects work performed inpliance with applicable codes and specifications.
No per diem, ideal for local candidates
CWI certification required
Valid driver’s license
Essential Qualifications:
Certified Welding Inspector preferred
Minimum five (5) years of experience in all aspects of welding
Hazard Communication orientation/test
Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
Job site orientation
Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, nomex, etc.)
Safety equipment must be worn when required and/or necessary for the safepletion of the job at hand (e.g. hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, seat belt, safety harness with lanyard, hearing protection, etc.)
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace
Functional Requirements:
Develops an understanding and working knowledge of thepany quality control program,pany standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work; performs inspections and witnesses tests to determine acceptability of work. Performs audits to ensurepliance with QA/QC requirements; defines corrective measures for problem areas and ensures implementation; maintains work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assures correctness of all documents; performs additional assignments as required.
Compensation
Final agreed uponpensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
